GEIOS–KAIGEN Delivers 99.9% Lower Emissions Compared to the Sabatier Process
Ultra-Low Carbon Fuel for Orbital-Scale Missions
Conventional Sabatier Process
The Sabatier process, synthesizing methane from CO₂ and hydrogen, requires ~50 kWh/kg of hydrogen via electrolysis, emitting ~135,000 tCO₂e daily for 10,800 tons of methane when grid-powered (0.5 kg CO₂e/kWh), plus ~5,940 tCO₂e for CO₂ capture, totaling over 1 million tCO₂e/day with conventional methane supply emissions (80 tCO₂e/ton).
GEIOS-KAIGEN Process
Our GEIOS-KAIGEN nanomolecular sieving process uses geothermal energy (0.03 kg CO₂e/kWh) to extract and purify 10,800 tons of methane daily with graphene-zeolite membranes (>95% purity) and zero flaring. Our 5GB1C-RO1 bacteria convert >99% residual methane, cutting emissions to ~884 tCO₂e/day.
Annual Environmental Impact
Our technology saves ~368 million tCO₂e annually, worth ~$736 million/year at $2/tCO₂e—making it vastly cleaner and more sustainable for aerospace methalox needs.
Clean Fuel, Powerful Returns: Sustainability Meets Profitability
Our sustainable approach delivers both environmental and economic advantages.
Sustainability & Economic Impact
GEIOS–KAIGEN redefines fuel sustainability with a system powered entirely by 100% geothermal energy, ensuring zero emissions and zero flaring at every stage.
Our EQG multi-thread advanced production model not only aligns with environmental stewardship but also unlocks powerful economic advantages.
