Job Description
We are seeking a Nanomaterials Research Scientist to develop and characterize advanced carbon-based nanomaterials for our thermal management and molecular separation technologies. In this role, you will synthesize, modify, and optimize carbon nanotubes, graphene oxide, and other nanomaterials to enhance the performance of our sustainable energy systems.

- Synthesize and modify carbon nanotubes and graphene oxide materials
- Develop novel nanomaterial formulations for specific applications
- Characterize nanomaterial properties using advanced analytical techniques
- Optimize synthesis processes for scalability and reproducibility
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate nanomaterials into system designs
- Document research findings and contribute to intellectual property development
- Stay current with emerging trends in nanomaterials research
Requirements
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in carbon nanomaterial synthesis and characterization
- Strong expertise in carbon nanotube and graphene oxide chemistry
- Experience with material characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, Raman, etc.)
- Familiarity with surface modification and functionalization methods
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with nanomaterial dispersion in various media
- Knowledge of thermal conductivity enhancement mechanisms
- Experience with nanomaterial-polymer composites
- Publications in relevant scientific journals
- Experience in an industrial R&D environment
